What it is

The Shungite Orgonite Tile is one of the most unique pieces in the FTW collection — a full-size, functional tile made entirely from our handcrafted shungite orgonite blend, designed to be used exactly as you would use a standard ceramic or stone tile.

It is made for people who are intentional about their home environment and want to bring orgonite into their living spaces in a way that is both beautiful and permanent. Placed individually as a statement piece, blended in with standard tiles across a larger surface, or arranged in a deliberate grid pattern throughout a room — the Shungite Orgonite Tile gives the conscious living community a way to incorporate orgonite into the fabric of their home itself.

The ingredients

Every tile is made with powdered quartz, shungite, brass, iron oxide, and steel — the same powdered ingredients we use across the entire FTW range, ground fine before every pour. These ingredients are encased in slow-poured epoxy resin and hand-finished to a smooth, durable surface.

The tile’s deep solid black color comes entirely from the shungite powder itself — no dye, no pigment. Just the natural color of one of the most carbon-rich minerals on earth. Tiles can be primed and painted to any color you wish, but many of our customers choose to leave them in their natural black finish.

Shungite carries a centuries-long history in grounding and cleansing traditions — sourced raw from the Karelia region of Russia and ground in our workshop for every batch. Quartz, brass, iron oxide, and steel are each chosen deliberately for their place in orgonite tradition.

The design and dimensions

Each tile measures 11cm x 11cm (4¼ in x 4¼ in) — a standard tile size compatible with most home tiling projects and grout systems.

Slight raised notches on the sides prevent slippage when grouted into place alongside standard ceramic tiles. Two finishes available:

Plain tile — smooth glossy surface. Clean, minimal, and versatile.

Moroccan design tile — raised decorative pattern. Visually striking as a feature tile or mixed into a standard tile layout.

Unlike ceramic or stone, epoxy resin does not crack or chip under normal use. These tiles are durable, long-lasting, and built to remain in place for the life of the surface they are installed on.

How our community uses them

The orgonite and conscious living community has found a wide range of ways to incorporate these tiles into their homes. Our customers use them:

As a single statement tile — one piece placed in a bathroom, kitchen, or living space as a focal point among standard tiles. Blended into a larger tiled surface — mixed with standard ceramic tiles of the same size from any home improvement store to create a grid pattern across a wall, floor, or outdoor area. Around a pool or outdoor patio — the weather-resistant epoxy resin holds up in outdoor environments. As feature tiles in a meditation room, bedroom, or dedicated rest space. Attached creatively to furniture — beds, chairs, massage tables, and other surfaces where people in the orgonite community want to incorporate the pieces into their daily environment.

A common question we hear is how many tiles to order for a given space. There’s no fixed formula, but here’s what our customers most often choose based on room size:

Smaller rooms: a set of 5 tiles, spaced evenly around the perimeter.

Larger rooms: a set of 10 tiles, spaced evenly around the perimeter.

Multiple rooms or larger areas: multiple sets — one per space.

These reflect what our customers typically order, not a required amount or guaranteed coverage — order as many as fits your space and your intention.

Standard ceramic tiles of the same 11cm x 11cm size are available at most home improvement stores and can be used to space the orgonite tiles across a larger surface area.

Handmade since 2017

Every tile is made by human hands in our small workshop in Morocco — from the first ingredient to the final finish. We are not a corporation. We do not mass produce. Each tile is made to order with care.
